For a second year running the Ancre Somme Assocation Scotland has chosen to support Veterans With Dogs mission to help improve the quality of lives of Veterans with PTSD.
Earlier this year the ASA Scotland presented VWD with a cheque for £2000 from selling poppy seeds throughout the UK, and this year they have decided to donate from the sales of purple poppies.
ASA Scotland Chairman John Jenkins “I personally feel passionate about this dogs charity, I am a lover of dogs, having 2 myself, one called Poppy and one called Bear. My dogs mean the world to me, they are part of the family.
We are delighted to support Veterans With Dogs and hope the public will support our Purple Poppy campaign, assistance dogs make a real difference to Veterans who are suffering from mental health issues such as PTSD.
These special dogs are absolutely brilliant, they have a proven track record of improving our Veterans lives every day.
